The above picture is what is it like walking on the AT. A footpath...... This is my view most of the day. Walking, walking, walking......
Today was very hard, and can be summed up with two words. Sassafrass Mountian. That kicked our butts. It was very hard hiking that elevation. It just never seemed to stop. When is this going to end?
A cool part was that in the area we heard Military training (the boys liked that).
We had to force ourselves to hike to the next water source. We almost ran out of water, but finally made it (at dusk) to Justus Creek (the creek was beautiful and awsome to get to). We were so spent that we camped at a site near the creek instead of going two additional miles to the next shelter.
