Day 2 - Len Foote Inn to Springer Mt to Stover Creek Shelter..... 7 miles



On Top of Springer Mountian


Thus day was "easier" but by no means easy.

Seth had a hard start (the thought if just hiking was not on his list).

Then again with the elevations, this time climbing Springer Mt. We finally made it to the start of th AT.

I have read that Springer Mt is a bit of let down, but it sure was exciting to get there and finally start. However the family didn't realize for a few minutes that they had indeed arrive at the start (a testamony to how underwhelming Springer MT is).

We did more hiking before coming to the shelter.

Seth was worn out, and Andrew (my hero) carried Seth's his backpack for the last mile.

Andrew is my hero !!!!
